A round is one minute of the day. The wallets in it are not the player base: -

Each bar counts distinct wallets whose last settled deploy falls inside that window, against every wallet that has ever mined. Mining now looks back a few rounds rather than at the open one, because a wallet only lands in the count once its deploy settles.

A cohort is the day a wallet first deployed, taken from the oldest transaction on its account, so these are real arrival cohorts reaching back to launch rather than to the day this page started running. Each cell is the share of that cohort seen active on the day in question; days that have not happened yet are left blank rather than shown as zero. A cohort's own first day is 100% by definition — a wallet becomes visible by deploying.

Where the count comes from

Every wallet that deploys gets a permanent account on Solana, and unlike a round's deploy records it is never deleted. Satstats reads all of them directly from the chain, so wallets that have ever mined is a full count and not a sample. The SatRush API offers only a top-100 leaderboard and a per-round number, neither of which can answer it.

Why per-round is so much smaller

Miners come and go through the day. The wallets deploying in any one round are whoever happened to be running that minute, so the round figure is a floor on the player base and never a measure of it.

What counts as active

A wallet's last settled deploy, compared against the live round. Windows are measured in rounds and converted at the observed cadence, so "last 24h" means the last - rounds.

Where the arrival dates come from

A wallet's account on Solana is created by its first deploy, so the oldest transaction on it is the moment that wallet arrived, and every transaction since is a day it was active. Satstats walks each account back to that first transaction, which is why cohorts reach back to launch instead of starting the day this page went up. -

What an active day counts

A day with any transaction on the wallet's account. Sampling those transactions, about 95% are deploy-related and the rest are claims, so an active day slightly overcounts a day spent mining. Days recorded by live polling instead are a confirmed deploy, and the two are stored separately rather than merged.

Bots are read, not inferred

Each wallet is classified from its own transactions: ExecutePublicAutomation means a bot deployed, DeployPublic means a person did. Owning a funded automation account is deliberately not the test — it shows a bot could be deploying, not that it was. Both figures are shown so they can be compared.

Wallets are not people

Everything here counts wallets. One person can run several, and a single wallet has mined nearly every round since launch, so these are an upper bound on players and a lower bound on concentration. Nothing on this page can tell the two apart.
